Life is often thought of as a journey with death as it’s destination. As I wrote about in
my last post, however, rather than as an ending, I think of death as a transformation. Everything, in its naturally ordained time, goes through deep renewal, a cosmic hibernation. It all comes from one source and returns to it at some point before taking on a specific expression of life once again. Therefore, your life’s final destination is your origin. It is an elevation of your energy and your consciousness from individual and limited to divine or heavenly.
Your body is your vehicle for this journey. Although it has its limitations, it also has a motor, steering wheel, and road map to complete your journey. These are all contained in your chakras, or seven main energy centers in your body through which your life energy gathers and circulates. Each chakra has a specific role, and as you develop each one from the first through seventh, you develop yourself—from your physical to your emotional to your mental/spiritual attributes. The difficulties and trials that come with a human body are actually blessings that propel your expansive growth.
To follow this road map, you need to activate and connect each chakra from the first through the seventh, as well as the four major external chakras in your hands and feet. As you do this, you pass through three gates to achieve three births. The first chakra is the first gate, and the first birth is the physical birth we’re all already familiar with. The second gate is your fifth chakra. The energy of your fourth chakra, also called your soul, needs to pass through this gate and merge with the energy in your sixth chakra, which houses divine energy. This process is like fertilizing a seed, or a sperm finding an egg, as it does in a physical birth.
This second birth results in a wholeness within yourself. The energy within your body circulates freely and healthfully, bringing you infinite creativity and joy. Your mind and body are fully integrated, and you gain new insight, as if another
pair of eyes, one that reaches beyond your five normal senses, has opened in your mind. With this insight, you are able to understand who you really are and the purpose of your life. Then you can see life energy as an eternal force that exists in itself, of itself, and by itself and recognize that your essence is also this eternal life. With this realization, you will be free from fear, loneliness, and grief.
When this spiritual embryo passes through the final gate, the seventh chakra, you experience a final birth. The fullness of your individual being meets the fullness of the universe and becomes one. This is the final integration; you cannot be more complete than this, where you are, see, and understand everything. You have attained true freedom beyond the limitations of your body, without life or death, beginning or end. This is the origin of your true self&mash;the place of the One.
Chakras are awakened and activated through energy. Energy exists in three forms:
light, sound, and vibration. All life, including each cell of your body, has a unique, characteristic
frequency of vibration. It is
the essence of all of life’s activities. Therefore, meditations that stimulate your chakras using
light,
sound, and/or
physical movement and vibration will awaken your chakras.
If you focus on your chakras as you awaken them, you will learn many things about yourself and about energy principles that you can heal and use for your growth. For example, you may uncover hurts from past relationships you didn’t realize you had and shake away that energy with the vibration. Physical pain, memories, joy, love, and new wisdom can all arise in your awareness when you submerge yourself in natural, rhythmic vibration.
Your thoughts and actions can also awaken your chakras and keep them healthy and balanced. Different chakras are associated with different aspects of life and what you think and do in relation to those aspects affect the health of your chakras . . . and vice versa. Positive thoughts and deeds are normally the best, but concentrating on each of your chakras will provide you with more specific information as to what you need. Learn to be aware of your chakras and soon you’ll be able to tell which ones have energy that is bright or dark, stuck or flowing, full or not full enough. You’ll get to know what signs and signals within yourself indicate whether you are doing or thinking something that is harmful or helpful for your chakras—or somewhere in between. All of your chakras are important for your journey. Neglecting any of them will create imbalance in your life.
Maintaining your chakra health with your mindfulness and a regular vibration practice will reveal the road map you need to follow to complete your journey and have a meaningful and fruitful life along the way.
