While I’ve written about the body’s
energy system and chakras and
managing your energy, there is a piece of the picture I have yet to share.
There is actually a process, an ideal sequence, through which your energy system develops to become completely active and healthy. Because our personal development goes hand in hand with energy development, this process is important for making changes in your life and in the world.
For your energy system to develop, pure energy needs to accumulate and circulate in your body. Before this can happen, as I’ve mentioned before, you first need to release any old or impure energy that is stuck in your energy system, preventing healthy energy from flowing through it. Once you do, you can fill your body with pure energy.
Think of your body as an empty glass. Just as when you pour water in a glass, energy fills in your body from bottom to top. Or in the case of your energy system, it fills from your first chakra at the bottom of your trunk to your seventh chakra at the top of your head.
As it does, your physical health is stabilized first. Then your emotional energy becomes bright and happy, and finally your mind, or spiritual energy, becomes clear and peaceful. When your energy system is fully developed, optimism, hope, love and a driven sense of purpose manifest inside you.
This sequence of development corresponds to the characteristics of your
seven chakras.
The first three chakras closely affect your physical health. Full and activated lower chakras mean you have vitality, power, creativity, and confidence. The
fourth chakra, which is also called the heart chakra, is responsible for the pure energy of unconditional love, which emanates from it when that chakra is open and filled. That pure energy rises past the
fifth chakra in your throat, which enables you to express yourself in a balanced and universally beneficial way. When it reaches the
sixth chakra in the center of your brain, your consciousness realizes its limitlessness and unity with all. This individual consciousness links to a greater consciousness as energy passes out of your body through the
seventh chakra at the crown of your head.
Developing the energy in your chakras in this sequence is the most stable and beneficial way. If you work on the upper chakras before the lower ones, you may develop mental abilities that your body and heart cannot support, which may result in physical illness and/or emotional imbalance. A full, flowing, and balanced energy system is the key to overall health and happiness.
