Do you have a dream? Are you at a crossroad in your life and wondering which way to go?
Do you feel something nagging at you from deep inside and want to satisfy this feeling but don’t know how? Do you feel you know what you earnestly want but don’t have the energy to go for it?
I’ve felt these feelings many times. When I have, it was because I was going through a deep change. Change and transformation happen when we find and follow our dreams to come into reality. However, the process can be overwhelming and daunting, even though it is exciting and exhilarating!
To embark on the journey of finding and following our dreams, we need three powers: physical power, heart power, and brain power. These three powers enable us to activate our whole mind, body, and energy to give birth to our most cherished dreams joyfully, timely, and powerfully.
You might ask: What is meant by each of the three powers and how can I use them to find and fulfill my greatest dream?
Given our social, technological, and economic environments, our physical body is in constant assault by stress and endless demands weakening the body susceptible to diseases. Therefore, we need to develop our physical power. Physical power is the strength and stamina from our physical body to fight these attacks and to see things through.
According to Ilchi Lee's recent blog article How to Build Yourself a 120-year Life, “When you generate strength in your body, you’ll also develop greater motivation, and you’ll find new things you want to try or come up with good ideas. It’s also a good idea to have a specific goal that you want to reach for your physical fitness or find an ideal model that you can emulate.” The retreat workshop is designed with physical exercises to feel your body, heighten your sense of awareness, and move beyond your preconceived limitations.
However physical power is much stronger when used with heart power. Heart power consists of our passion, perseverance, and courage to forge and power through the obstacles along the journey. Ilchi Lee says, “Heart power is strength that becomes cultivated through your relationships with yourself and with other people.” Our greatest dreams are not just about ourselves and our families, but also all life forms. During the workshop, you will have exercises that can open up your hearts to yourselves, to others, and to nature around you, inspiring you to truly appreciate and strengthen your heart power.
The third power that integrates both physical and heart powers is Brain power. The human brain is the center of all our actions, feelings, judgments, passions, and dreams. Ilchi Lee states, “Brain power could be expressed as creativity. Just because you have a lot of intellectual knowledge, doesn’t necessarily mean your brain power is strong. Brain power is the strength to utilize insight and wisdom to create something that is helpful to myself and to the world.”
