Each thought you have sends energy into the universe and influences your mood and the environment around you. And depending on whether the thought is positive or negative can affect how your life plays out. This energy coincides with the Law of Attraction, where if you think good and positive things, you can attract them into your life and vice versa. With this innate power, your energy and thinking can create your true reality.
Manifesting things into your life is something that intrigues many people. Some think it’s a form of mind control, but it’s really not as magical as it sounds—it’s common sense. Life, in short, is a series of choices. Nothing happens unless you make a choice. And with those choices, the most important thing becomes action.
Brain Operating System
“If you choose it, it will happen” is an easy sentence to summarize the Law of Attraction. It’s also one of the fundamental principles in
Ilchi Lee’s Brain Operating System, which is a roadmap he designed for using and managing the human brain. The brain is an amazing tool that makes life possible and is where all of our creative ideas stem from. Learning how to use the brain well is the beginning of manifesting your life, and if you make a solid choice to actualize something, your brain then turns its gears to line up and make your dreams your reality.
Positive vs. Negative Words
What we think in our minds will become what we believe. So, understanding the importance of the actual words you’re saying when you’re wishing for something is fundamental in manifestation. The brain processes each word you say and has the ability to affect your overall mood and emotions.
Positive words are known to be lighter on the brain, while negative words can be hard and heavy on the brain. If you use negative words in what you wish for, your brain can actually misunderstand and subconsciously attract negative occurrences into your life.
Try to steer away from saying things like “I don’t want to be sick,” because your brain, even though complex, can pick up on the “want to be sick” part and attract that into your life. Make sure to design your goals in a way that only includes positive words. For example, if you desire to improve your health, you can simply say “I want to be healthy.”
Why Isn’t What I Want Happening?
If what you want isn’t happening, you should ask yourself, “Did I really choose it?” “Did I really do anything it takes to get to what I want?” Truly choosing something means resolving to do it no matter what, not that you’ll “give it a try” or “work at it.” When your mind isn’t united within you, then the difference between “I’ll do it” and “I’ll try” is huge because it determines your success and failure. If your attitude at first is that you are just going to try, your mind can come up with excuses to not work as hard even though you may be outwardly trying.
Fear disappears and your mind grows lighter as soon you fully decide “I’ll do it.” You’ll be able to use all your energy and have no conflict with what you’re going to do. When you resolve to do something, your brain knows it and starts to act. When you tell your brain, “I will do this!” it starts to create situations that let you carry out that choice.
The
more intentionally you choose, and the longer you remain true to your choice, the more powerfully your brain reacts. Everything around you can start to change and new situations arise that support your new desires. You’re simply manifesting in reality what’s already been achieved in your brain. Look at this process as being as natural as a tossed ball falling to the ground due to the law of gravity. Once you are so sure of your choice and have conviction, and set an objective to take every single step in that direction, then as long as you don’t give up, you’ll ultimately reach your goal.
Start Manifesting!
The
easiest way to begin manifesting is by implementing daily positive practices into your life. First, it's important to take a step back and realize what you have been focusing on. Have you been putting your energy and time in the right places to achieve what you want? That can depend on the people you surround yourself with or the situations you get yourself into. Once you realize and possibly change around your focus, you can begin to create a plan for how to achieve your goals.
- Step 1: Create lists of short-term goals that will lead to your long-term vision. Try to write down how your goals are connected to your “why.” When you know why you’re putting effort into these goals, you can get more inspired for taking action.
- Step 2: Read your written goals everyday when you wake up and before you go to bed to imbed these dreams into your subconscious brain.
- Step 3: Visualize yourself already having achieved your goals. This will help you to feel like you already have what you want, to bridge the gap in your mind between the ideal vs. reality. When you have that sense of achievement with not a single doubt in your mind and heart that you couldn’t do it, you will release any negative energy and generate excitement and positive feelings that will support your actions.
Whether you’ve already practiced manifesting or have never tried, the most important thing to remember is having a positive mindset. Our brains have the power to attract good things into our lives through the Law of Attraction by controlling our thoughts. So, learning how to change your thinking can make you feel more positive on a daily basis to influence your actions and actualize your goals! You can’t achieve your dreams by doing nothing, so start focusing your energy and time on what is important and make your dreams your reality!
