Master the Art of Personal Power with Solar Plexus Chakra

Master the Art of Personal Power with Solar Plexus Chakra
SHARE
The Solar Plexus chakra is the third chakra and is located in the area just above your navel and below your sternum. Its color is a warm, radiant orange. Your Solar Plexus Chakra is the “I do!” chakra, and it influences your personal power and self-esteem.

When the Solar Plexus chakra is balanced, you have high self-esteem and good self-discipline. You have a spontaneous, playful attitude and are able to take risks. You feel in command of your emotions and thoughts, and even your physical posture is straight and aligned when this chakra is strong. Your personal power is vibrant, and you can cope with challenging situations.

When the third chakra is weak or closed down, you tend to experience low energy, low self-esteem, poor self-discipline, scattered energies and are prone to victim mentality. When it’s overactive, we show a tendency to be controlling, arrogant, hyperactive and may become ‘power hungry’ and egotistical.

Physical manifestations of an imbalanced Solar Plexus Chakra can include poor digestion, ulcers, diabetes, liver problems and celiac’s disease.

Keep in mind that the state of your energy centers can differ depending on your environment. When you are around loved ones, for example, you may have no problem saying what you feel or being heard. But, if your workplace is unsupportive, you may notice your third chakra energies weaken or even close down.

Here are two meditations you can use to clear and balance the Solar Plexus Chakra:

Breathing in the Sun – Sit quietly and begin to imagine an orange “energy ball.” Build your energy ball in front of your solar plexus. Breathe in through your nose, and as you exhale through your mouth, imagine the empowering, shining light of the orange sun building your self-esteem, willpower and courage as it radiates down then up through your spinal column. Pulsate this sun with every inhale and exhale.

Life Affirmation – Place your hands with palms open over your Solar Plexus. Close your eyes and visualize the warm, radiant sun expanding in this part of your mid-section. Take 3 deep breaths, stating aloud, “I am life. Existing by itself, in itself, and of itself,” with each exhale.

Interesting...it's good to know what the characteristics of a balanced, healthy 3rd chakra are, versus an unbalanced, unhealthy one ...I'll definitely be using this for reference and practice!
