About the Artist

Al Choi is a painter and meditation guide whose work explores the relationship between attention, energy, and spirit. After working as an illustrator in South Korea and later teaching meditation in Arizona, he now focuses on painting and art education in South Korea. His artwork is known for its quiet depth, spiritual resonance, and energetic presence.

His name, Al, comes from an ancient Korean word meaning “seed of light”—a reflection of his belief that all beings are fragments of light returning to their source. For Al, art is not something lofty or distant, but a natural expression of deep attention. He sees it as love made visible, a quiet act of planting seeds in the hearts of others that may grow into something radiant. Like wildflowers blooming in the cracks of stone, he hopes his work touches what is true beneath both beauty and pain.
