Artist's Note
The Root Chakra is about feeling supported by Mother Earth and finding your footing in her steady embrace. It’s that deep sense of safety that comes when you trust that the earth is holding you. When you’re grounded, you remember—you belong here.

I created the Chakra Series as a visual journey of healing, alignment, and awakening. Each painting represents an energy center within the body—a balance between the physical and the spiritual, the seen and unseen. As I painted through each chakra, I found myself reconnecting to forgotten parts of my own being: grounding in safety, opening to love, reclaiming my voice, and remembering my connection to the divine. This series became more than art; it was a process of transformation, of learning that when our energy flows freely, so does our light. Let me explain more.

As I visualized each piece, I thought of energy as a vortex. I saw how energy presented as color from the infinite light; it would pour into these centers and permeate into your being. These paintings are a reflection of my mind's eye and the connection to that source. It came to me when I was doing my “grounding”, which I do to help me to stay centered. When you stand barefoot in the grass and you raise your hands to the sun, its a powerful tool for connection to that energy.

About Artist Rebecca Bond
Rebecca Bond is an intuitive visionary artist whose vibrant, meditative paintings are born from deep inner listening and heartfelt intention. Growing up in New Orleans, Rebecca’s creative journey began with a love for nature and drawing. Meditation grounds her daily, providing a sacred space where ideas and energy can find expression. Rebecca’s art draws from the rhythms of nature, the chakra system, divine feminine energy, and moments of mystical insight. She creates intuitively with alcohol inks, acrylics, and bold penwork on Yupo paper—a specialized paper that allows inks to really shine—and canvas.
