Levitate: The Art of Lightness
Rebecca Bond’s painting Levitate captures a feeling of pure buoyancy. Swirling hues of blue and soft pink intertwine. They don’t sit on the canvas; they float . . . merging and dancing, as if rising together on a gentle current of air.
Doesn’t it feel good to look at? Gazing at this piece, it’s hard not to feel a quiet lift inside you. There’s a sense of releasing the weight of thought and surrendering to the spirit’s natural upward drift. We think the title Levitate was well chosen.
It brings to mind those moments when life itself feels lighter, when the noise quiets, and we remember that ease is possible. It reminds us that not everything has to be held so tightly . . . (or maybe nothing needs to be held so tightly!)
There’s so much healing in that realization. Our natural state isn’t tension, it’s openness. Like colors dissolving into one another without boundaries, we too can soften the edges of our days. We can allow the flow of emotion and thought to move through us instead of anchoring ourselves to every passing worry.
There’s also an electricity that lives inside Levitate. An edge of bubbliness and vitality in those shimmering gold accents. Rising above isn’t an escape from life, but a way of being fully alive in it.
Looking at Levitate, I find myself tuning in to my breath and noticing how it can become lighter. The art asks me quietly: can you soften in this moment? Can you let go just a little, even when life demands you to hold tight?
Where in your life might you rise and float? What situations or inner experiences might be calling for more lightness, buoyancy, and joyful vitality?
If something comes to mind, you might sit for a moment and set an intention around it. Breathe into that place, letting your body and spirit sense what it means to levitate.
Rebecca created Levitate through her own expanded energy and presence, with the intention of bringing us into more connection with ours. So let’s float for a while in beauty, let go of gravity, and remember that no matter what’s going on, there is always the capacity to rise.
Levitate is available as a framed paper print with and without a mat, unframed paper print, framed canvas print, or unframed canvas print. Or, you can shop the full collection of Rebecca Bond’s energy art here.
