How the Calligraphy Was Made:

Ilchi Lee made the original calligraphy using techniques of the East Asian tradition with small to medium-tipped brushes on calligraphy paperboard made from fine handmade rice paper affixed to a hardboard backing.

The principles and benefits of practicing calligraphy are similar to meditation, qigong, and internal martial arts. Ilchi Lee often compares calligraphy to Dahnmu energy dance, the art of moving your body with the flow of energy.
